I’ve lived in the Boston area for the last 6 years, but I’ve never really had a chance to soak in the city. I haven’t even taken the Swan Boat, nor seen Make Way for the Ducklings. Shameful, I know.
So, last Saturday, I took the initial step to correct this. I signed up for one of Saba’s PhotoWalks, and our destination was Beacon Hill. I took this tour together with a few members of the forum mu-43.
Hope you enjoy these pictures, and I hope they might even convince you to come visit our city! (Images after the jump.)

Iconic
Over at SeriousCompacts, there is currently an interesting weekly challenge. You are supposed to interpret the word “Iconic”. I’ve tried being a regular contributor to their weekly challenges, because I know it will only help me become better at capturing images.
But, being usually stuck at home and not much time to go around walking, these weekly assignments are usually a challenge for me. So, what’s around the house that’s truly iconic? After several frustrating efforts – and, just when I was about to quit came Nik Silver Efex Pro to the rescue – here is the image I submitted:
The more I look at it, the more I realize I like the image. What do you think?
